Former Premier League champions, Chelsea have identified Bayer Leverkusen winger, Leon Bailey as Eden Hazard’s successor.

According to Kicker, Chelsea are close to sealing a €60million deal to bring the 21-year-old Jamaican youngster to Stamford Bridge during January transfer window.

The German newspaper claimed that Bailey has made the West London club his preferred destination despite interest from Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City.

The report also claimed that the Blues’ executives are already making plans to sell Hazard next summer amid fears he could look to wind his contract down and force a move to Real Madrid.

The report added that Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri has identified Bailey as his No 1 target to replace Hazard, with Kicker reckoning a move to Stamford Bridge could go ahead as soon as January.

Meanwhile, in an interview with Kicker, Bailey admitted there is, “concrete interest” from several clubs, but said: “If a club wants me, my management and Bayer will take care of it.”
