Former Chelsea star, Tony Cascarino has disclosed that only three Blues players would make Manchester City’s starting XI.
Cascarino stated this following Chelsea’s 2-0 victory over Pep Guardiola’s men in the Premier League encounter played over the weekend.
Goals from N’Golo Kante and David Luiz helped Maurizio Sarri’s side to hand City their first defeat in the Premier League this season.
“Before Chelsea’s win against Manchester City, I was thinking which of their players would get into Pep Guardiola’s team,” Cascarino told The Times UK.
“I settled on three: Eden Hazard, N’Golo Kanté and César Azpilicueta and they were the standout performers at Stamford Bridge.
“Hazard excelled as a false No 9, Kanté scored the opening goal with a great finish and Azpilicueta came out on top in his battle against Raheem Sterling.”
Chelsea will now tackle Vidi in the Europa League fixture on Thursday.
