Former Liverpool captain, Jamie Carragher, has predicted that Arsenal and Manchester United may not finish in the Premier League’s top four this season.
The Sky Sports pundit was speaking after the Gunners’ 2-0 win over Everton.
According to him, early season performances have shown Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham are better equipped to secure a place in the top four.
“On the evidence of what we’ve seen I’d say Arsenal or Manchester United from what we’ve seen in these opening six games. The others look a little bit further up.
“Tottenham have had a little bit of a wobble, a good result for them yesterday but it will be really tight and it always is with the top six,” Carragher said.
