EPL: Bernd Leno speaks on Arsenal move, Emery’s decision to start Petr Cech

Arsenal new goalkeeper, Bernd Leno has said that he made the right choice in joining Arsenal in the summer, despite starting the premier league season behind Petr Čech in the Gunners pecking order.

The German international arrived from Bayer Leverkusen, with the expectation that he would replace Cech as No.1 in north London.

But Arsenal manager, Unai Emery has decided to start the campaign with the 36-year-old as his first choice, which means Leno had stayed on the bench in the opening three Premier League games.

The 26-year old insists that he has no regrets about the decision he took on his move to Arsenal and that he is happy to wait for his chance to arrive.

“I am convinced that my change was the right decision,” Leno said in an interview with Sports Bild.

“I’m not crazy,” he said.

“It may take a few weeks or months, but my time here will come.”
