Former Manchester United striker, Dimitar Berbatov has advised Arsenal playmaker, Mesut Ozil on how he can save his Gunners’ career under manager, Unai Emery.
Ozil has not played for the North London club in the past few weeks due to a back spasm he sustained.
But Berbatov has now advised the 30-year-old year-old that he must be willing to obey Emery to remain an important player for Arsenal.
“Ozil is a great player,” Berbatov told Sky Sports on Sunday.
“Sometimes you think is the football they’re playing effecting this great guy, great player? How do you fix that?
“He is still a great player. When you don’t fit the system what do you do? You don’t play. How is that good for anyone?
“I love watching him but football changes. You need to obey what your manager says. “If you’re smart you can press and help the team press.
“It’s not too difficult. So I don’t think it is a big problem for him.”
Arsenal have remained unbeaten since Ozil’s absence.
The Emirates club will tackle Qarabag in the Europa League on Thursday before returning to Premier League action to clash with Southampton.
