Arsenal striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, has spoken for the first time since he failed to convert the 90th minute opportunity against Tottenham on Saturday.

Aubameyang, writing on his Instagram page, said he was proud of Arsenal’s performance in the North London Derby.

The Gunners were unlucky to leave Wembley without all three points on Saturday, taking the lead through Aaron Ramsey before a spot-kick from Harry Kane tied the game in the second half.

As Tottenham pushed for a winner, Arsenal created a host of chances on the break and the clearest came when Aubameyang was brought down inside the box by Davinson Sanchez.

After picking himself up off the floor, the Gabon striker took the penalty, but saw a weak effort well saved by Hugo Lloris, while he was denied a second time by a stunning last-ditch block from Jan Vertonghen.

“My son was wishing me to score in that game, that was the opportunity.

“I came home and he told me no worries you’ll score in the next one! View this post on Instagram My son was wishing me to score in that game, that was the opportunity..
