Tottenham Hotspur manager, Mauricio Pochettino has disclosed that he will put his friendship with Arsenal boss, Unai Emery on hold when his team clash with the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League derby fixture on Sunday evening.
Pochettino and Emery have known each other for ten years during their time in the Spanish La Liga.
The two coaches will meet for the first time in the Premier League this weekend and Pochettino has insisted that he will put his friendship with Emery to one side until after the match.
“It will be so different, always the reference at Arsenal was Arsene Wenger,” Pochettino told Sky Sports.
“But now we are going to face a very good friend like Unai and it will be strange.
“But when we start the game we are going to compete, knowing that it’s such an important game for us and of course for them too.
“It was always a fantastic relationship when we faced each other in Spain, and of course yes I wish him all the best at Arsenal – after our game of course!”.
The kick-off time for the match is 3:05pm.
