Arsenal new signing, Lucas Torreira is back in full training with the club following an injury scare on international duty with Uruguay.
Torreira was substituted at half-time of Uruguay’s clash with Mexico and was spotted with an ice pack on his calf during the second half.
The midfielder is yet to start for the Gunners since the start of this season but supporters are desperate to see the former Sampdoria man handed his chance by Unai Emery.
Emery confirmed Torreira is back in contention for Saturday’s trip to Newcastle after tweeting a photo from a training session at London Colney on Tuesday.
“Focused on our improvement @Arsenal, focused on @NUFC,” Emery tweets.
The Magpies have recorded just one point from their first four Premier League matches and have just one win from their last 11 matches against the Gunners at St James’ Park.
The Gunners have won two and lost two of Emery’s first four matches since his appointment as the head coach.
