Arsenal manager, Unai Emery has wished West Ham United midfielder, Jack Wilshere the best ahead of his side’s Premier League clash with the Hammers on Saturday.
Wilshere, a former Arsenal player, prepares to return to the Emirates Stadium for the first time since leaving the North London club to join the Manuel Pellegrini’s side earlier this summer following the appointment of Emery as successor to Arsene Wenger at the Gunners.
Emery, who was unable to promise Wilshere a place in his team, said the 26-year-old will receive a good ovation.
“I spoke with him for 15 minutes here in Colney before he left,” Emery was quoted as saying by Sport360 ahead of West Ham clash.
“The first thing for me is I have respect for his career here.
“And then, he chooses what the best was for him in his future. It’s for that, on Saturday, I know that here, the supporters like him and have this respect also.
“I think there is a good reception for him here. Then we are going to play and we are going to think after that, for us to win. But I hope the best for his career.”
Emery’s men head to the game after losing 3-2 to Chelsea last weekend at Stamford Bridge.
