EPL: Antonio Conte reacts to Chelsea’s 3-0 home loss to Bournemouth

Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte, has given reasons his side fell to a shock 3-0 defeat at home to Bournemouth in the Premier League on Wednesday.

The Cherries scored three in the second half after the first 45 minutes ended in stalemate.

Callum Wilson put the visitors in the lead on 51 minutes, only for Junior Stanislas to double the score 14 minutes later.

Former Chelsea defender, Nathan Ake added the third goal to finish off the Premier League Champions.

Addressing his press conference after the heavy defeat, Conte pointed out that injuries to some of his first team players have affected the team.

“The players tried their best, the commitment was great. But despite this we lost the game. Football is not simple. You have to prepare every game now the most important thing is that we have to fight, this season will be very tough and we have to be ready to fight.

“Tough night but I predicted this tough night. To have this capacity to look forward and if you remember, it would be very tough for a lot of reasons.

“It happened, it happened. Now we have to move forward to see the next game,”‎ he said.
