Newcastle legend, Alan Shearer has urged Chelsea midfielder, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, to decide on his future with the West London club at the end of the season.
Shearer said this following Chelsea’s Premier League 2-0 win over Fulham on Sunday.
He, however, believes that the England international is too talented to only be a fringe player.
Loftus-Cheek, who scored a late goal for the Blues against Fulham, is yet to start a Premier League fixture under manager, Maurizio Sarri, this campaign.
“Ruben will have a big decision to make at the end of the season,” Shearer told The Sun.
“He scored against Fulham – just like he did the last time he played in the Premier League against Burnley back in October.
“But despite doing very well every time he does play, he is just not getting enough game time.
“Loftus-Cheek had a good time on loan at Crystal Palace last season and then went to the World Cup with England.
“I understood his decision to come back and give it a go at Chelsea because a new manager had taken over.
“But he will have to wait and see if he plays more between now and the end of the season, otherwise, he will really have to consider his future in the summer.”
Loftus-Cheek will hope to lead Chelsea to victory when they tackle Wolves on Wednesday in the Premier League.
