Chelsea boss, Maurizio Sarri has identified AC Milan stars, Alessio Romagnoli and Mattia Caldara as his key targets to bolster his defensive options at Stamford Bridge.
Romagnoli, a left-footed centre-back, has played twice for Milan in Serie A this season and captained them in their defeat against Napoli and win over Roma.
Caldara on the other hand, moved to Milan from Juventus on a five-year deal earlier this summer in the deal that saw Bonucci return to Turin and Gonzalo Higuain also move to the San Siro.
According to Calcio Mercato, Sarri wants to sign the duo during January transfer window.
The report also claimed that the 59-year-old has placed Romagnoli and Caldara as his top two targets for next year.
Sarri, who has impressed at the West London club since joining from Napoli, has won all four of his Premier League matches.
The Blues currently sit on second position on the Premier League log and will face Cardiff City at home this weekend.
