A bus carrying Enyimba players, was on Monday attacked by armed robbers in Okene, Kogi State.
The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions, were on their way to Kaduna for the Super Four tournament.
A tweet from the club confirming the incident read: “We can confirm our team bus was attacked by armed robbers this afternoon in Okene, Kogi State on our way to Kaduna for the #SuperFour”.
However, the Peoples Elephant confirmed no one was injured in the incident.
“Thankfully, there were no injuries during this unfortunate incident. Players and officials were however stripped of all valuables.”
