Enyeama to become Lille’s number one goalkeeper

Super Eagles goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama, is set to take over as the first choice for Lille, from the 2013/2014 season.

The Nigeria international, who spent last season on a year-long loan deal at Maccabi Tel Aviv in Israel, spent time on the bench as second choice to Mikael Landreau.

However, according to reports in L’Equipe, coach Rene Girard will now elevate him to first choice, ahead of Steeve Elana who took charge after Landreau’s exit in December 2012.

Enyeama has been linked with a move to Spain, but will now stay at the club if he is assured of a regular place in the Ligue 1 side.
