Super Eagles goalkeeper and captain, Vincent Enyeama, may still decide to leave the team’s camp in Belgium, after what the NFF called “a little misunderstanding” with coach Sunday Oliseh.
The Lille stopper arrived after Monday’s deadline, after he was permitted to report late, following the burial ceremony of his late mother in Akwa Ibom.
However, when Enyeama tried to explain why he showed up late, Oliseh ordered him to leave the hotel and went ahead to call on security officials to bundle him out.
The NFF intervened in the situation and Enyeama ended up staying with the team.
It is still not certain that the 101-cap goalkeeper, will choose to continue with the squad, after such humiliation in the hands of Oliseh.
If Enyeama decides to leave, it will leave the technical crew with a problem, as it would mean Carl Ikeme will be the only goalkeeper available. Sunshine Stars’ Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Enyimba’s Femi Thomas, are still trying to get their Schengen visas to join up with the squad.
The Super Eagles are billed to face DR Congo on Thursday and Cameroon three days later.
