Former captain of the Super Eagles, Vincent Enyeama, has rejected Nigeria’s Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr’s calls for him to return to the Nigeria national football team.

Eagle’s chief coach, Salisu Yusuf, announced this during the week when he disclosed that Rohr made every effort to convince Enyeama to resume responsibility for national side.

He noted that the former skipper spoke in clear terms that he isn’t ready to return.

The Lille shot-stopper retired from international football last year after a heated disagreement with former coach of the Super Eagles, Sunday Oliseh.

Yusuf said, “The truth is that the technical adviser has actually discussed with Enyeama, but the truth is that Enyeama has made it clear that he is not ready to return to the Super Eagles again.

“The positive thing is that we have a good relationship with Enyeama and we respect his decision but when the time comes if he makes up his mind, we’ll welcome him.”
