Vincent Enyeama’s international future is up in the air, after the Super Eagles captain failed to face the Nigeria Football Federation Disciplinary Committee on Tuesday.
The Lille goalkeeper was invited to explain his “provocative remarks”, in which he expressed his concerns about the safety of Kaduna, ahead of the Eagles’ Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Chad.
“Enyeama may have ended his international career by snubbing the committee,” an NFF source told completesportsnigeria.com.
“He has set a bad precedence for the team and that will come with a big penalty.”
The 33-year-old did not give a reason for snubbing the panel, but coach Stephen Keshi who showed up to defend himself, over an alleged application for the Cote d’Ivoire job, claimed he did not know Enyeama was also summoned.
“No I am not aware. I only know about my own invitation. You can ask the NFF officials they should be able to tell you,” he said.
