Enugu police nabs fake Reverend Father

The Police in Enugu State have arrested a fake Reverend Father, who gave his name as Reverend Fr. Joseph Archibong.

The suspect claimed that he was posted from Lagos State to Enugu.

Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, DSP, the spokesman of the Enugu State Police Command, who confirmed the arrest in a statement made available to DAILY POST, said “the suspect was nabbed on 30/3/15 when he reported to the Catholic Diocesan secretary and the chancellor of the cathedral for posting to a parish as a Reverend Father, having presented himself as a priest”.

It was later gathered that on further enquiry, it was discovered that the suspect is a dismissed seminarian later identified as one Jude Amadi.

Amaraizu added that “the suspect is helping the operatives in their investigations just as he has attributed the act to devil”.

In a related development, operatives of the Central Police Enugu have nabbed a suspect, who specializes in defrauding members of the public through procurement of Visas.

The name of the suspect was given as one chinonso Nwankwo from Uhagu Awgu in Enugu State.
