The Peoples Democratic Party’s guber candidate in Enugu State, Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has promised to create 10,000 jobs in the first six months in office.
Ugwuanyi, who spoke at the party’s campaign rally in Enugu East Local Government Area, also promised to revive Enugu State Marketing Company to start importation of goods and to introduce Oil and Gas, and Maritime as new courses in the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT).
Also speaking, Enugu State Governor, Barr. Sullivan Chime said unlike most PDP states where the choice of gubernatorial candidates nearly tore the party apart, Enugu was blessed by God because her choice, Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi galvanised and unified the members.
“We should be grateful because the promise of God has been fulfilled in Enugu state.
“In other states including Ebonyi, Imo, Abia, Akwa-Ibom and Niger, the choice of guber candidate split the party. But in Enugu the choice of our candidate, Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi galvanised the party, those who left came back, the people who went to other parties have personal reasons,” he said.
He said they were in Enugu East LGA to celebrate and present the party’s guber and other candidates to the people and urged them to endeavour to get their permanent voters’ card to enambe them vote PDP candidates.
The rally was attended by many party stalwarts including the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu.
