Enugu gets new Commissioner of Police

A new Commissioner of Police in Enugu State, Mr. Douglas Agbonleni, has resumed duty, three weeks after the retirement of his predecessor, Mr. Emmanuel Ojukwu.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Enugu on Saturday.

“The Enugu State Police Command wishes to inform members of the public particularly good people of Enugu State that the command now has a new Commissioner of Police, Mr. Douglas Agbonleni.

“Before now, Agbonleni, was the commissioner of police in-charge of welfare at Force Headquarters in Abuja.

“He is vast in policing activities having served the organisation in various capacities,’’ the PPRO said.
