Enugu FA holds prayer session for Super Eagles, Rangers FC


Chairman of the Enugu State Football Association,Emeka Offor on Sunday afternoon led other members of the FA in a prayer session in support of the Super Eagles of Nigeria and the Rangers International Football Club of Enugu.

Offor in his speech before the prayers, which took place at the main bowl of the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu said the prayer meeting was organised to thank God and other stakeholders for their support to the team in the last season.

He said the prayer would be a point of contact for the Super Eagles team in their AFCON 2013 final match against Burkina Faso this evening and for the Rangers ahead of their CAF Champions League and the Nigerian Premier League matches.

“The last we saw Rangers perform the way they did last year was 25 years ago, it would not have been possible without your support, especially the media”, the FA Chairman noted.

Also speaking, Chairman of Rangers, Ozor Chibuzor Paul said the get-together was necessary to seek the face of God.

“I don’t know how to express my great feelings to God and to you all for all your support. So, on behalf of the State, I say thank you.

He said: “In the next one week, the Antelopes would be representing Nigeria at the CAF Champions league, we are asking for more of your support again”. High point was special prayers for the Rangers and the Super Eagles. Rangers player, Ejike Uzoenyi is currently part of Super Eagles camp in South-Africa.
