Enugu APC passes vote of confidence on Oshiomhole, Nwoye

Members of the Enugu State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, on Tuesday, passed a vote of confidence on the National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and the chairman of the party in the state, Barr. Ben Nwoye.

This was the outcome of an expanded meeting of the state executives, ward and local government chairmen held on Tuesday at the party’s Secretariat in Enugu.

The motion for the vote of confidence, which was moved by the secretary of the party in Enugu North LGA, Mr Okafor Sabastine, was greeted with loud cheers of acceptance by the large number of party faithful at the venue.

While responding on behalf of the National Chairman of the party, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the chairman of the party in the state, Nwoye thanked the exco for the confidence vote.

He assured all members of the party that the leadership of the party will always put the interest of the party first before any personal interests.

“We thank all of you for the confidence you have in us. We will continue to put the party first and put the interest of the party above personal interests,” he said.

This endorsement may not be unconnected to the lingering crisis rocking the party in the state and the recent suspension of one of the leaders of the party in the state, the Director-General of Voice of Nigeria, Mr, Osita Okechukwu, by the national leadership of the party.
