Super Eagles’ defender, Tyronne Ebuehi has reacted to Nigeria’s 2-1 lost to England in a pre-World Cup friendly game played at the Wembley Stadium on Saturday evening.
Ebuehi admitted that Gernot Rohr’s side had a difficult first half against the Three Lions, but gave their best in the second half.
The Benfica star made his sixth appearance for Nigeria after replacing Abdullahi Shehu at half-time.
Speaking to reporters after the match, Ebuehi said: ”I think we had it hard in the first half but I think in the second half we did very very well, and personally I just did what I can and it went well personally.
”There was also some small mistakes but I did a good job.”
Ebuehi added, ”To be honest for me it doesn’t matter. I like both of the roles.
”Today was a great atmosphere, great stadium also, of course it helps us a lot because the World Cup is the biggest stage and everybody is watching. Today a lot of people watched the game.”
Nigeria will face Czech Republic in their next warm up game on Wednesday, before heading out to Russia and getting their 2018 FIFA World Cup campaign underway in two weeks’ time.
