Atiku Abubakar, former Vice President, has reacted to Super Eagles’ loss to England in a warm up match on Saturday.

Gernot Rohr team lost 2-1 to the Three Lions in the friendly played in Wembley ahead of the 2018 World Cup tournament.

Nigeria put up an abysmal display in the first half and went behind through goals from Gary Cahill and Harry Kane. They, however, reduced the deficit following a strike by Alex Iwobi.

Reacting, Atiku said although the team lost to England, the game was a good preparatory game.

The former Vice President in a tweet wrote, ”Though we lost, it was a good preparatory game. We had a very good second half performance.

”That is the tempo we must maintain at the #Russia2018” World Cup.
