Liverpool youngster Jordon Ibe could be fast-tracked into England’s senior team, as Nigeria continue to circle around the player.
Officials of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), are seeking to lure the 19-year-old into the Super Eagles squad.
Ibe has made just six appearances for the Reds since he signed three years ago, but he has played for England at Under-18, Under-19 and Under-20 levels.
He is however eligible to represent the former African champion through his father David and the NFF are eager to land the exciting winger.
Ibe might not be included in England’s squad for the Euro 2016 qualifier against Lithuania next month and a friendly match against Italy four days later. But he could be called up for another friendly game against the Republic of Ireland in June.
