England has ended the drama surrounding Tammy Abraham ‘s international future.
The youngster, on loan at Swansea City from Chelsea, has been called up to the England squad for their next set of international matches.
There has been an uncertainty over Tammy’s international as Nigeria and England contested for his allegiance.
Nigeria made the first move for the player when President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick announced that he (Tammy) has accepted to switch allegiance to his father land.
However, the player came out and publicly denied having made such commitment of switching to Nigeria.
The Chelsea youngster was called up by Gareth Southgate in the squad that would face Brazil and Germany in international friendly matches this month.
England definitely does not need Tammy at least for now, with so many established options in their striking role such as Harry Kane, Jamie Vardy and Daniel Sturridge, but they can make sure no one else has him.
