Super Eagles media officer Ben Alaiya, has confirmed that Emmanuel Attah has been restored to his post as coordinator of the team.

Attah previously held the position for seven years, before he was replaced with former Nigeria international Garba Lawal.

Alaiya also said Attah has officially resumed and was never barred from carrying out his duties as team’s coordinator.

“He [Attah] has since been back with the team. He is with us [Super Eagles] in camp. I don’t know where the reports that he was barred from the camp are coming from. He is with us and doing his job,” Alaiya told Goal.

“The NFF has never commented about it since they asked Keshi and his backroom staff to return for the two remaining Afcon qualifying games,” he said.

In a related development, the Super Eagles’ team coordinator has expressed surprise at reports of his purported dismissal from the team’s camp and insists he is not bothered.

“I’m surprise too at the rumours. I’m with the team and doing my work. I have been meeting with the coach and discussing on our crucial qualifying games ahead.”

“Well, its unfortunate, this happens in Nigeria, but I’m focused and determined to carry out my duties. I will not get distracted by those rumours.”
