Hosts Arsenal were in devastating form, as they humiliated Lyon 6-0 in the Emirates Cup on Saturday.
Olivier Giroud opened scoring for heading in Mesut Ozil’s free-kick, before Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain burst into the area to double the Gunners’ advantage.
Arsene Wenger’s men were three up, after Alex Iwobi finished off a lightening-quick counter-attack. The half ended 4-0, after Ozil spotted Aaron Ramsey’s run and the Welshman poked home.
The second half was played at walking pace, but Arsenal still scored twice through Ozil and substitute Santi Cazorla.
In the first game of the pre-season competition, Villarreal defeated Wolfsburg 2-1.
