The Emir of Ngelzarma, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Muhammad Zanna Mai Yeri Ibn Isah III has expressed fulfillment over the upgrading of his emirate to First Class status in Yobe State.
He also commended the Yobe state governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Geidam for his foresight and goodwill to the people of Yobe state and particularly the people of Ngelzarma emirate.
The emir, who was speaking with newsmen at his palace, Saturday, said Governor Ibrahim Geidam deserved all commendation not only because of the upgrading of the status of the emirate but because his heart was always with the people as he had constructed two guest houses, office accommodation, fenced the palace as well as constructed three bedrooms to the families of the late emir.
According to the royal father, “what Governor Ibrahim Gaidam did to the Ngelzarma emirate council only God can reward him.”
The emir called on the people of his domain to continue to live in peace and be their brothers’ keepers, irrespective of tribal, religious or political differences.
He noted that Ngelzarma emirate had never experienced any war or jihad because its earlier leaders always maintained peaceful relationship with all their neighbours.
