Former Super Eagles striker, Emmanuel Emenike, has been included among the top 40 earners in the Turkish topflight. The Nigerian is named the third highest-paid African.
Kenneth Omeruo, Ogenyi Onazi, Amimu Umar, Raheem Lawal, Godfrey Oboabona, Nosa Igiebor, Emem Eduok and Bright Edomwonyi, are some of the other Nigerian players who also feature in the Turkish Super Lig, but did not make the list.
Eight Fenerbahce players made the top 10 list, with one player each from Besiktas and Galatasaray completing the first ten.
According to aspor.com.tr, Emenike is the 14th highest earner and the third highest African with an annual pay of €2,500,000.
Emenike’s strike partner Robin van Persie is the highest-paid player with €5,000,000 per year.
The highest paid African is Moussa Sow, who is in third place overall. The Senegalese earns €4,000,000 per year.
