The Cross River State Governor, Professor Ben Ayade and the Minister of State for Works, Power and Housing, Mr Mustapha Baba Shehuri have paid a visit to the Global Headquarters of Skipper Seil in India.
The Indian Firm is currently handling the Construction of the 21 megawatt power plant being undertaken by the Cross River State government.
The firm is also involved with the construction of power projects owned by the Dangote Group.
Governor Ayade and the minister were accompanied on the visit by the Nigerian High Commissioner to India, Major General Chris Eze (Rtd).
It would be recalled that the governor, who has in the last two weeks been on an investment shuttle between India and China, signed a pact with Skipper for another power project using renewable and sustainable sources.
The governor also reached an agreement with a Chinese firm, Goldwind for the provision of technical manpower for the cultivation of cotton.
The state recently went into the cultivation of cotton in collaboration with Arewa Farms.
The cultivation of cotton is meant to ensure a backward Integration program for the Cross River State Garment Factory.
Meanwhile, the governor has also disclosed plans by his government to establish a vegetable oil factory in Bekwarra Local Government Area.
The governor unveiled the plans during his inspection of a vegetable oil factory in Beijing, China.
The Governor and his wife together with the minister of state also visited Taj Mahal after attending a Conference on Power, which started on March 11, 2018 in India.
