Rev. David Yako of ECWA Goodnews Church, Kuje, FCT, on Sunday, called on Nigerians to be united to promote peace for a greater future of the country.
Yako, who declared this in his message entitled “Promote Peace for Greater Future’’ enjoined the congregation not to be distracted with the present situation in the country.
He described the postponement of the Feb. 14 general elections as God’s intervention to fix the wrong things for a greater tomorrow.
He said “for those that want this country to be divided will be put to shame because God has good plans for our country Nigeria.
“The postponement of the general elections is God’s intervention for wonderful things to come.
“If the country wanted to divide; It will have done so earlier before now even some few years after independence.’’
He quoted from the book of Psalms chapter 37: v32-40 to encourage all Nigerians to remain with Christ even at death.
He advised the congregation to be serious with human relationship as it was better than politics and to be careful with greed.
Yako said “our relationship is stronger than politics, for politics will come and go but human relationship is forever.
“We should be careful with greed as it is the beginning of the downfall of man.
“Wait for the Lord and his ways, He will exalt you to inherit the land when the wicked are cut off you will see.’’
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Sunday service was attended by hundreds of worshipers, which featured intercessory prayers and gospel praise.
