Senator Binta Masi Garba of the APC has failed in her bid to return to the Senate.
Binta polled 63,219 votes to lose to the PDP candidate for the Adamawa North senatorial election, Mr Ishaku Cliff, who got 78,337 votes and became the senator-elect for the district.
Another Adamawa female politician, Hon Aisha Dahiru (Binani), however won her seat in Adamawa Central Senatorial District election.
Binani, the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate for the election, polled 188,526 votes, as against Murtala Chubado Modibbo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 96,530 votes, according to results announced by the returning officer, Prof. Baba Bukar Jakusko.

Meanwhile, Prof Mamman Ardo of the MAUTECH Yola, who is the Returning Officer for the House of Representatives election, has also announced Ja’afar Abubakar Magaji as winner for Mubi-North, Mubi -South and Maiha federal constituency.
Magaji polled 73,117 votes to defeat Umar Babangida Maina of PDP who scored 31,677 votes.
