El-Rufai’s inauguration ends abruptly

Unlike other states, the inauguration of Gov. Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State ended abruptly on Friday.

Reports say the newly inaugurated governor could not review the parade mounted by the police as some youths pelted dignitaries with water sachets, stones and other objects in the pavilion.

This development prompted security agents to fire tear gas into the crowd at the Murtala Muhammed Square, Kaduna, bringing the inauguration ceremony to an abrupt end.
