El-Rufai lauds Kaduna voters, cautions against excessive celebrations

Governor-elect of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir el-Rufai, yesterday appreciated the people of the state for the mandate given him to serve them. He however, called on his supporters to avoid excessive celebration by being moderate, peaceful and respect the rights of others.

Exchanging views with journalists at the All Progressives Congress, APC, secretariat in Kaduna shortly after he was announced winner of the election, El-Rufai called for prayers to enable the in-coming administration in the state give the people the change they desired.

While appealing to the people to unite and work together so as to take the state to the next level, the former FCT minister promised that his government would be guided by high moral principles.

His words, “I will not give any preference to the issue of indigene; anybody that lives in Kaduna would have equal right.

“We want to make Kaduna State an example of how Nigerians can live together as equal in peace and unity,” said el-Rufai.
