El Clasico: Perez snubs players after 5-1 loss, set to replace Lopetegui with Conte

Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez is set to discuss Julen Lopetegui’s future in the coming hours and it is looking increasingly likely, that Julen Lopetegui will be replaced by Antonio Conte next week.

The 5-1 defeat to Barcelona on Sunday, appears to have sealed Lopetegui’s fate.

It is understood that Perez left the Camp Nou immediately after the game, without speaking to the players or his coach.

Conte is expected to arrive as early as Monday, Marca reports.

If not, Santiago Solari will take temporary charge of the first team, for Wednesday’s Copa del Rey game against Melilla.

Conte is free to take over at the Santiago Bernabeu, after finally resolving his contract dispute with former club, Chelsea.
