Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation, has reacted to the assassination attempt on the Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu.
Recall that some unknown assassins had at about 4 a.m. on Tuesday invaded Ekweremadu’s residence in Abuja and attempted to assassinate him and members of his family.
Reacting to the assassination attempt, Fani-Kayode described the act as “despicably and cowardly.”
In a tweet, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain urged security agents to ensure that those behind the act were brought to justice.
He wrote: “The attempt to murder Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu and members of his family earlier today is a despicable and cowardly act.
“I wholeheartedly condemn this great evil and I call on the security agencies to bring those behind it to justice.”
