Ekiti receives N4.76 billion Paris club refund

The Ekiti State government on Monday announced the receipt of N4.76 billion as the last tranche of the Paris Club refund.

Governor of Ekiti, Ayodele Fayose, disclosed this via a statement on his twitter handle.

He, however, promised to pay civil servants’ salaries and Christmas bonus with the funds.

In a tweet on Monday, he said: “I have received N4.76 billion Paris Club Refund.

“It will be shared between the state and Local governments next week.

“Salary will come, leave bonus will come, Xmas bonus will come, Everything will come,’’ he tweeted.

The federal government had announced the release of the refund to 27 states out of the 36.

The government explained that the remaining nine states would be paid after concluding some procedures.
