The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State has accused Governor Ayo Fayose of allegedly inflicting suffering on the people with his leadership style.
The party also vowed to do everything possible “humanly, constitutionally and legally” to win the 2018 governorship election and give good governance to the people of the state.
The APC Chairman in Ekiti South Senatorial District, Kayode Babade, who made the remarks on Thursday in Ikere-Ekiti said “Ekiti has retrogressed under Fayose who is running a one-day-one-trouble administration.”
Babade was addressing party leaders and members during their monthly senatorial meeting held at Ikere City Hall.
He urged party members to go back to their wards and local government areas to sensitise the electorate ahead of the 2018 poll.
He praised a party chieftain, Dr. Wole Oluyede, for his efforts in sponsoring party programmes and mobilizing members to the senatorial meetings in the last six months. Supporters of governorship aspirants turned out in their numbers at the meeting.
The party chief said: “We must go back to our wards and local government areas to woo members and the electorate for our party because Ekiti people are tired of the PDP government led by Fayose who has disappointed the masses with his style of governance.
“If he doesn’t uproot a sacred tree today, he will demolish petrol stations tomorrow. He is owing civil servants arrears of salaries and he has been destroying the businesses of law-abiding citizens.
“This is a governor of one-day-one-trouble and by the grace of God, we are going to chase him and his party ot of power next year. God that has the key that opens and closes shall open the door of Government House to APC and close it against PDP.
“I am making a claron call to Ekiti people to reject Fayose andwhatever he stands for in the next year’s governorship election. Enough is enough for Fayose and PDP.
“A governor that does not respect elders must be stopped at the next election; a governor that is praying everyday that the President should die should be sent packing and by the grace of God next year, APC will form government in Ekiti.”
Babade also harped on discipline emphasising that the party is supreme to any individual. He also appealed to party members to be united as the governorship poll draws nearer
