Ekiti Guber: Nigerians react to video of Ngige ‘campaigning’ for Fayose

Nigerians have reacted to the video of the Minister of Labour, Chris Ngige, where he was seen campaigning for the Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose during the All Progressives Congress, APC, rally on Tuesday.

Ngige, while canvassing for the APC candidate, Kayode Fayemi, erroneously begged people of the state to vote for the incumbent governor, Ayodele Fayose, on Saturday.

The Minister said this during the grand finale of APC governorship rally in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.

Reacting to Ngige’s remark, some Nigerians took to their social media pages to condemn the minister while others hailed him.

Here are some reactions gathered by DAILY POST from Twitter:

@Azeezolu “Good that this is coming from Ngige, his confused status is acknowledged.

@SRdollar “So according to Ngige, a certified medical doctor (if I’m right), the best way a man can know a good wife is to marry two, the one that can cook better is the best. He is Nigeria’s Minister for Labour and productivity. It took Buhari 6 months to appoint him.”

@Dio1vanni “As far as am concerned Ngige goofed really bad… Ekiti people wud wonder what an unintelligent man is looking for in Buhari’s govt… It’s not a slip, it’s more of a subconscious oversight/ omission.”

@Otunbarahman “I saw the video of the rally yesterday, which Dr Chris Ngige mistakenly campaigned for Govayofayose…he will surely campaign against APC come 2019 election.”

@Seun_Liberty “Now that Dr Chris Ngige who is a minister’s mate with Fayemi @kfayemi for 3yrs is now campaigning for @GovAyoFayose to be returned using APC platform. What an irony.”

@Ntinya12 “God bless Dr. Chris Ngige for campaigning for us PDP, please do the same 2019.”

@Yangus82 “All those against you will be confused like Chris Ngige.”

@Goodyemi “Will these federal might victimization help Fayemi, If not then it means APC have scored another own goal in addition to that of yesterday scored by Ngige.”

@Ibinwanne “I equally thank Dr. Ngige for his show of bravery yesterday, he has always been a very brave man, even while in the wrong party with the worst set of politicians and very bad government policies.

“He went to Ekiti state to speak the truth to power, on behalf of all Anambrarians, we are proud of you.”
