The immediate past Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General in Ekiti State, Mr. Owoseni Ajayi, has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), ahead of the July 14 gubernatorial election in the state.

Ajayi, while announcing his defection, told newsmen on Monday that he is quitting the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join forces with APC candidate, Dr Kayode Fayemi to win the July 14th election.

He said: “I have decided from today 11th June 2018 to withdraw my membership of PDP and join APC forthwith to be able to actualise my political dream.”

The former attorney-general who maintained that APC will win the forthcoming election, said he had weighed all the other aspirants and decided to pitch his tent with Fayemi.

Ajayi, however, stated that he is not joining the APC to beg for any political office.

According to him, he had been working with and for Fayose for 20 years and had endured enough humiliation in his hands, saying “there’s a limit to my tolerance. I’ve exhibited extreme tolerance.”
