Senator Babafemi Ojudu, the Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Political Matters and Ekiti State governor, Ayo Fayose, on Tuesday night engaged each other in what could be called ‘tweet-war’.
Sen. Ojudu is aspiring for the Ekiti State governorship seat on the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) while Fayose is campaigning for his deputy, Prof Kopalo Olusaola of the PDP to succeed him.
Last night, Fayose got more than he bargained for after he called for the arrest of Ojudu for erecting billboards in Ekiti without the approval of signage agency in the state.
Fayose had tweeted, “In saner climes, Ojudu will be arrested for erecting billboards without approval of the Signage Agency and payment of necessary fees.”
In a hit back, the presidential adviser fired back at Fayose, stressing that the Ekiti governor should also be arrested for defacing the FCT with campaign posters without paying the authorities.
Ojudu replied thus, “Just the way you should have bee arrested when you pasted posters in Abuja announcing your jaded ambition to be President. How much did you pay the Abuja authorities?”
