Kayode Fayemi, Minister of Mines and Steel Development, on Wednesday formally bowed out of President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet.
Fayemi, an All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate in the coming governorship election in Ekiti State officially bowed out of Buhari’s cabinet with a special valedictory session held in his honour.
President Muhammadu Buhari led other members of the Federal Executive Council, FEC, to bid Fayemi farewell at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The valedictory session was held before the start of the weekly FEC meeting presided over by Buhari.
Speaking during the session, Buhari described Fayemi as a man of sound intellect, whose contributions helped the present administration to achieve progress in the solid minerals sector.
