Ekiti: Abducted priest regains freedom

Report reaching DAILY POST indicates that Rev Father Akingbade, a Catholic priest who was abducted recently in Ekiti State has been released.

DAILY POST recalled that Akingbade who is a parish priest in charge of St. Benedict’s Catholic Church was on Tuesday, last week kidnapped from his residence at about 8pm by a three man gang.

Confirming the news to our correspondent, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Ekiti State on New Media, Lere Olayinka said the clergy man has been released. He however did not disclose whether ransom was paid before he was freed by his abductors.
