Kano State Hisbah Board on Thursday arrested eight young girls allegedly involved in prostitution, against the Sharia law in the state.
The board’s Assistant Commander-General, Operations, Malam Nasiru, said the suspects were apprehended at Rijiyar Zaki bus-stop during a special patrol.
“Our men went there around 5:00 p.m. on Thursday evening and arrested eight suspects at the Bus stop”
“All the suspects are females of between the age of 22 and 23.” Nasiru said, the arrest followed a tip-off, adding that the suspects will be taken to court after proper investigation.
