Egypt to arrive March 22 for AFCON qualifier against Super Eagles

Egypt’s delegation for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Nigeria, will touch down in Nigeria on March 22.

The Pharoahs have chosen to arrive early, to help the squad acclimatise for two days and get a feel of the Ahmadu Bello Stadium playing turf.

“Egypt FA now confirm its arrival date for the epic clash against Nigeria,” a source revealed to Complete Sports.

“There were deliberations over the choice date but I can confirm to you that The Pharaohs will arrive Cairo on 19th of March and then fly to Kaduna on March 22.”

The Egyptian football authorities are also waiting for landing permit from the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), after finally approving the Kaduna Airport.

Hector Cuper’s men currently lead Group G with six points from two games. Nigeria have four points in second place.
