43-year-old Essam El-Hadary, has been recalled by coach Hector Cup, ahead of Egypt’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Nigeria next month.
The legendary goalkeeper, has not played for the Pharoahs since 2013, when he featured in a World Cup qualifier under Bob Bradley.
El-Hadary, who has been capped 148 times by Egypt, has been in impressive form for Wadi Degla in the Egyptian domestic league.
He is part of a 24-man squad announce for the double-header against the Super Eagles, with other invitees including Zamalek’s Omar Gaber, Al Ahly’s Saleh Gomaa and Al Masry forward Ahmed Raouf.
Egypt will take on Burkina Fasco on February 27 in an international friendly, in preparation for the Nigeria games.
