The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday quizzed Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, at the Commission’s office in Abuja.
According to the Independent, Mr. Ekweremadu arrived at the anti-graft agency’s office in Abuja between 9-10:00 a.m.
DAILY POST had reported that Ekweremadu would be questioned over some assets linked to him.
A source had said “Our detectives are expected to interrogate Ekweremadu on some assets linked with him. The EFCC is suspecting that the assets were acquired with suspicious funds.
“Some of these assets have been located in the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States.”
As at the time of filing this report, the Deputy Senate President was still with the EFCC.
