The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday arraigned former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, alongside three others before a Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi Lagos.
Fani-Kayode alongside former Minister of Finance, Nnenadi Usma, Danjuma Yusuf and Joint Trust Dimension Nigeria Limited were arraigned on charges bordering on corruption and stealing.
The Commission is alleging that Fani-Kayode alongside others laundered N4.9 billion in a matter that had been two times postponed.
EFCC claimed the accused persons allegedly committed the offences between January and March 2015.
According to the anti-graft agency, Fani-Kayode, who was the spokesman of the Goodluck Jonathan campaign in the 2015 election, was investigated for allegedly receiving money meant for arms purchase from the office of the former National Security Adviser.
