Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim K. Idris, has approved the posting of CP Muazu Zubairu Halilu to Akwa Ibom State Police Command.
He had served the Nigeria Police Force in various capacities including Divisional Police Officer – Jimeta (Adamawa State); Head Anti-fraud Unit, Nigeria Police FCID Abuja; IGP Special Investigation Unit; Head of Operations, EFCC, Lagos; Deputy Commissioner of Police Special Fraud Unit FCID.
Other positions held were Deputy Commissioner of Police Air Port Police Command Lagos; Commissioner of Police (Admin) Department of Finance and Admin Force Headquarters Abuja; Commissioner of Police, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Police Force Headquarters Abuja and lately Commissioner of Police, Niger State Police Command.
CP Muazu Zubairu Halilu holds a Bsc (Hons) degree in Botany from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Advance Diploma in Public Admin University of Abuja, a Masters in International Law and Diplomacy from University of Lagos and Masters degree in Policy and Strategic Management from International University of Bamenda, Cameroon.
Halilu takes over from CP Don Awunah as the 22nd Commissioner of Police of the Akwa Ibom Command.
The senior officer is happily married with children.
